Customise your report: logo, colour, Prepared by and disclaimer

Set the report colour and cover logo on the Reports page. Licensed organisations also add their own logo, About this report, Prepared by and a disclaimer.

You can change how your valuation report looks before you generate it. Outside the free plan, every company can set a report colour and a company logo for the cover. Licensed organisations, typically advisors, can also add their own logo, an About this report page, a Prepared by line and their own disclaimer.

How do I change the report colour?

Open the Reports page and type a hex colour code in Report color, under Preferences. The code is a # followed by 6 hexadecimal digits (0-9 and A-F), for example #387F7F. A square next to the field previews the colour, and INVALID COLOR appears once you type 6 or more characters that do not form a valid code. Click Save company profile to apply it. The colour is stored per company and used for headings, borders and highlights. Enter #00FFC0 to use the default Equidam colour.

How do I add my company logo to the cover?

Under Company Logo on the Reports page, click Click to upload or browse and choose a JPEG or PNG file of up to 5 MB. Equidam resizes large images to fit within 900 pixels and fills transparent areas with white. The logo prints at the top of the report cover. Without a logo, the cover shows a Company Logo Area placeholder.

Licensed organisations: your logo, About this report and Prepared by

These fields appear on the Profile page, opened from the top menu, only when your organisation has a licence. They belong to the organisation and apply to every company's report, so a member who edits them changes them for everyone. Click Save at the bottom of the page to apply.

  • Logo of your organisation: replaces the Equidam logo in the report footer. Use a JPEG or PNG of up to 1 MB and at most 1024 by 1024 pixels.

  • Business description: text about your firm. It prints on the About this report page and, with your logo and the Prepared by name, at the bottom of the cover.

  • About this report: a title (up to 50 characters, for example Engagement Letter) and a description of the engagement. Without a title, the page is called About this report.

  • Prepared by: the name of the firm that prepared the report. It prints on the cover only when the business description is filled in, and on the About this report page only when that page exists.

The About this report page is added after the table of contents when the business description or the About this report text is filled in. If the two texts together stay under 2,500 characters, the page also includes a short About Equidam paragraph.

Equidam manages whether the footer also shows Powered by Equidam.

Licensed organisations: custom disclaimer

When Equidam enables it for your licence, a Custom Disclaimer card appears on the Profile page. The text you enter there replaces Equidam's disclaimer in the Legal Notes section at the end of the report. Each save stores a new version, and earlier versions are kept on record. Reports print the latest one.

Which organisation's settings does the report use?

The report uses the settings of the organisation of the person who generates it. An advisor reporting on a client company sees their own logo, texts and disclaimer, even if the company was created in the client's account. If you belong to several organisations, Equidam uses one of them, which may not be the one you expect.

Limits

  • Report colour and company logo are not available on the free plan. The Preferences block is also hidden while a report is generating.

  • The organisation logo and custom disclaimer appear only after Equidam turns them on for your licence.

  • Business description and About this report share 3,500 characters in total. The disclaimer allows 3,500 characters. The About this report title allows 50.

  • Logo formats AVIF, WebP, HEIC, HEIF and JXL are rejected. Use JPEG or PNG.

  • The organisation logo limit is 1 MB, even though the upload dialog mentions 5 MB. An organisation logo wider or taller than 1024 pixels is rejected, not resized, and the dialog asks you to check that the file is JPEG or PNG. Resize it and upload again.

  • Your texts and disclaimer print as you wrote them in every report language. Equidam translates only its own copy.

  • Removing the organisation logo turns the custom logo off. To bring the card back, contact support.

Common questions

Why does my About this report page not appear?

The page needs text in the business description or About this report field, saved by a licensed organisation. Check that you generated the report from the organisation that holds that text.

Can I set different texts for each client?

No. These texts and the disclaimer are organisation settings and apply to every company's report. The colour and company logo are set per company.

Will changing the colour update reports I already downloaded?

No. Settings are read when a report is generated, so PDFs you already downloaded keep their look. Generate a new report to see the change.
