An interactive report link is a public web page version of your Equidam valuation report that anyone can open in a browser, with no account and no file attached. You create one in the Share Interactive Report drawer on the Reports page and send it to an investor or an advisor. It needs a generated valuation report, which the free plan does not include.
How do you create an interactive report link?
Open the Reports page and find the report.
Click Link on that report's row.
Under Your Link, click Generate Link, then Copy, or use the email, WhatsApp or LinkedIn icons.
Click Open full preview to see it as the recipient will.
The URL is your app address plus /shared/r/ and a random 12-character token. The drawer calls it "unique and unguessable", and the page blocks search engines, so the only way in is the URL.
What can you control in Security Settings and Recipient Features?
Security Settings holds two switches, both off by default. Password protection asks readers for a password before the report opens; type one or click Generate. Send the password separately from the link. Link expiry takes a preset of 7, 30 or 90 days or a date in the Expiry date field, and the link then shows the expired page instead of the report.
Recipient Features holds two more, both on by default. Allow PDF download puts a Download PDF Report link on the public page, and Equidam turns it off when the report has no PDF file. Allow counter-valuation would let readers copy the company's data into their own Equidam account, but the drawer marks it "(Coming soon)" and nothing is imported yet.
Changes to an existing link apply when you click Update Settings. The URL stays the same.
What does the recipient see?
The report becomes one scrolling web page with a contents panel listing The Story, Company Summary, Forecasts Summary, Past Funding Rounds & Current Ownership, Valuation, Current Funding Round, Use of Funds, Valuation Methods, Qualitative Traits Summary, Advanced Multiples, Valuation Delta Analysis, Sensitivity Analysis, Exit Value, Financial Projections, Last Available Balance Sheet, Appendix and Legal Notes. Each valuation method carries its weight next to the value it produced, so the reader can follow how the range was built. The footer shows who generated the report, with their email address when on file.
Readers cannot sign in to your account, change an input, or see anything you did not put in the report.
Is the link a live view or a snapshot?
It is a snapshot. Generate Link copies the report's data into the share record, and the public page renders that copy on every visit. Later edits to your questionnaire, financials or method weights never reach a link you already sent, and neither does Update Settings.
How is this different from the PDF report and from report verification?
The PDF comes from Generate report, a file you attach or upload. The interactive report link is a web page built from the same report. One report can have both.
Report verification is a separate control, Enable verification on the same report row. It publishes a verify page, reached through a QR code, where a reader can confirm a report came from Equidam.
Limits and what to expect
Sharing needs a generated valuation report, and report generation is blocked on the free plan.
The Link button does not appear on advisory reports or on reports you uploaded yourself.
Each report has one active link. Clicking Generate Link again returns the existing one.
Passwords are 4 to 64 characters. The Generate button makes a 6-character one.
An expiry date has to be in the future.
After 20 wrong passwords from the same internet address within an hour, the link shows "Too many failed attempts. This link is temporarily locked." The password form also accepts at most 10 tries per minute.
Revoke Link works immediately and cannot be undone. Anyone who already has the URL sees "This report is no longer available." and "The report owner has revoked or removed this shared link." You can generate a fresh link afterwards, with a new URL.
An expired link shows "This valuation report link has expired." and asks the reader to contact the report author for a new one, naming them and linking their email address when there is one.
Without Password protection, anyone holding the URL can read the whole report, so treat the link as the credential.
Common questions
Can the person I share with see my financials?
Yes. The page includes Financial Projections, the Last Available Balance Sheet and your ownership breakdown. Turn on Password protection for anyone outside your circle.
Does the recipient need an Equidam account?
No. The page opens in any browser on any device, and a password is the only thing they enter, if you set one.
Will the link always show my latest valuation?
No. The link shows the report as it was when you generated the link, so generate a new report and a new link when your numbers change.
Can I stop someone who already has the link?
Yes. Open the drawer and click Revoke Link. The URL stops working for everyone at once, including people who opened it earlier.
Can I see who opened the link?
No. The drawer shows the link and its settings, and there is no view count or visitor list.
