The company data export lets you download your Equidam data yourself as an Excel file, either for one company or for every company you have access to. The file downloads straight to your browser, with no email or link to wait for. Both exports need a paid plan. There is no option in Equidam to delete your user account.
How do I download the data of all my companies?
Open Portfolio in the top menu and click Download my data in the toolbar. When the audit table is shown, the same button also appears under it. While the file is built, the button reads Preparing download, and then the browser saves a file called equidam_data_export.xlsx.
The file covers every company in every organisation you belong to, not only the organisation you are working in. Companies that have been deleted are left out.
Each time someone uses Download my data, the Equidam team receives an email notice. It contains that person's user ID, email address, organisation IDs, number of companies and the time of the download.
How do I download one company's data?
Open the Reports page of the company and scroll to the Data Export section. On the Download Company Data card, click Download Excel. You can also click the download icon on a company's row in the Portfolio table; its tooltip reads Download this company as Excel.
The file is named equidam_<company-name>_data_<YYYY-MM-DD>.xlsx, for example equidam_acme_data_2026-10-10.xlsx. The company name is lower-cased and other characters become underscores.
What is in the Excel file?
Both exports use the same columns. The all-companies file has five sheets; the single-company file has the first four.
Cover: when the file was generated, plus your email address, company count and organisation count (all companies) or the company name and ID (one company).
Variable Explanations: a description and data type for every column. Columns use Equidam's internal field names, such as startup_name or devstage, so keep this sheet open while you read the others.
Company Data: one row per company, from the latest saved version. It holds the profile, questionnaire answers, opening balance sheet, capital invested and needed, equity offered, use of funds, the result and method weight of each of the five methods, the average valuation, completion flags and last-update dates.
Financial Years: one row per year of financial projections, with revenues, costs, EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation), EBIT, net profit, balance sheet items, debt and fundraising plan.
Summary (all companies only): companies by development stage, average valuation by stage, and the share of companies with a complete questionnaire, complete financials and a computed valuation.
Amounts are plain numbers with thousand separators. The currency of each company is in its own column.
What the export does not include
The export reads only company data and financial projections. It does not contain your valuation reports, the cap table or SAFEs, uploaded documents, or your user profile. To download a report, use the Reports page; the report exports article below covers its Excel and Markdown versions.
Can I delete my user account?
There is no option in Equidam to delete your user account.
Deleting a company is a separate action you can take yourself. It takes the company off your organisation's list and out of future exports. You cannot delete the last company in an organisation. The company deletion article below explains what happens to the data.
Limits
Free plan: on the free plan, the Download my data and Download Excel buttons open the upgrade window instead of downloading. On the Reports page, the button shows a lock and the tooltip Upgrade to download your company data as Excel.
Access: any member of an organisation can export its companies. The single-company export only works for a company your organisation can access.
Format: Excel (.xlsx) only. There is no CSV option.
Content: the latest saved version of each company. Older versions are not exported.
Failure: if the file cannot be built, nothing downloads and a message asks you to try again.
Common questions
Does the all-companies export include companies from my other organisations?
Yes, it covers every organisation you are a member of.
Is the file emailed to me?
No, it downloads in your browser; the only email goes to the Equidam team as a download notice.
Why do the column names look technical?
They are Equidam's internal field names, explained in the Variable Explanations sheet.
