You create a valuation report, the PDF version of your valuation, with the Generate report button on the Reports page. Equidam copies the data currently on your profile, sends it to a separate printing service, and downloads the PDF when it is ready. Every report is kept in the Downloads list on the same page. A failed report cannot be re-run, so the fix is always to generate a new one.
How do you generate a valuation report?
Open Reports in the left menu and use the Generate valuation reports card.
Optionally type a name under Report Name. The name cannot contain the backslash character.
Optionally upload a company logo and set a Report color.
If you see Include Valuation Delta, tick it to add the Benchmarks pages. You can also tick Include Recent Similar Rounds below it.
Tick Add a verification QR code if readers should be able to check their copy against the original on Equidam.
Click Generate report.
The verification page is public: anyone with the link can open the full report, including its financials. You can turn it off later with the Verification on switch on the report's row in Downloads.
The report uses the language in your Profile (for an organisation, the admin's), shown on each row in Downloads.
What do you need before the button works?
Your questionnaire and your financial projections must both be complete. Until they are, the button is disabled and the card shows "Complete your Questionnaire and Financials to generate this report."
The valuation must also be calculated and must not be negative, unless Equidam has enabled negative-valuation reports for your organisation. With a negative valuation, the Reports page sends you to the Valuation progress page instead.
What happens while the report generates?
The card shows "Your report is being generated:" with a progress bar and the phases Collecting Data, Processing Data, Rendering Chart and Printing Report. The page checks for the finished PDF every few seconds and starts the download when it is ready.
When it finishes, you see "Your report is now ready!" and the new report is highlighted at the top of Downloads. The printing continues on our side even if you leave the page. We also email the PDF as an attachment to the organisation admin, with a summary of the valuation.
What do you do if a valuation report fails to generate?
A report has failed when you see any of these signs:
A dialog titled "Report generation failed" asks you to try again or contact us in the chat.
You see "Your report is now ready!", but the download opens a page reading "Report PDF generation failed. Please try generating a new report or contact support."
Clicking PDF Report on a row shows that same failure message.
The progress bar stops and never reaches the ready message.
Check Downloads first, then generate a new report. Delete any failed report left in the list.
If PDF Report shows "Report PDF is still being generated. Please try again in a few seconds.", the report is still printing. Equidam treats a report without a PDF 10 minutes after the request as failed, and there is no way to re-run it.
Where do you find and manage past reports?
Every report for the company is listed under Downloads, newest first, 20 at a time. Click Load more reports to see older ones. The list stays available even without active paid access.
Each row has a PDF Report button. Reports that include a data snapshot also show Excel format and .md for agents links. Click the pencil next to a name to rename it, then Save. To remove a report, click the red delete icon, then Delete in the confirmation. The app has no undo for this, and deleting also turns off that report's verification page.
Limits
Report generation is not part of the free plan. The free plan shows an Unlock your report button instead.
The Benchmarks checkboxes appear only when your plan or organisation includes Benchmarks.
Members with read-only access see "You have read-only access. Contact an admin to generate reports." and cannot delete reports.
On a phone-sized screen, the app only opens the Valuation progress page and your Profile, so use a wider screen to reach Reports.
A new report is built from your current data, so it differs from a failed one if you changed inputs since.
Common questions
Can Equidam recover a report that failed to generate?
No. Equidam treats it as failed and there is no way to re-run it. Generate a new report from the Reports page.
Why does it say ready but the download shows a failure?
The printing service reported an error after your request. Delete that report and generate a new one.
Why is my report missing the Benchmarks pages?
The Include Valuation Delta checkbox appears only when your plan or organisation includes Benchmarks. The pages are added only when it is ticked and the Benchmarks tab is filled in, and recent similar rounds also need at least one round on file.
